The new year kicked off with an overhaul to the IT at our friends over at Kernow Chocolate in St Eval, Compu-K built some high end systems utilizing 6th Generation Intel Core i7 processor along with DDR 4 High Speed Memory and Solid State Drives. This combined with high end Professional IPS Monitors ensure high speed processor and colour accurate graphics production for their packaging. We rec-abled the office, with the help of Phil, and installed a new Wall Cabinet with high speed switches, Fibre Router and a Business Level NAS Drive with a RAID Platform all powered by a APC UPS to cover for power outages. Each workstation was connected to a UPS as well thus ensuring data security in the event of an area power outage or power surge. We migrated them across to Office 365 Business Essentials to take advantage of Exchange based Mail, Shared Calendar’s and cloud based 1TB storage area. Mail accounts were then shared across devices such as individual Mobile Phones allowing full access to communications and the OneDrive system. All data was successfully migrated from old systems and mail accounts across to the new platforms.
